#FPWS14 : Toni & Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe.

With London Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week redefining trends around the globe, did you really think Fashion Pakistan Week would not follow suit? Think again.

Toni&Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe.

Britian’s most celebrated hair-styling brand, Toni & Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe joined hands with the Fashion Pakistan Council to bring the hottest hair trends from the streets of London to the streets of Karachi.

Toni & Guy emulated the suave hair styles from London Fashion Week over the span of three days by diving the segments into Glamour, Classic and Casual themes.They managed to collaborated with Pakistan’s most celebrated designers: Shehla Chatoor, MaheenKarim and Sadaf Malaterre to encapsulate their ‘dressing from hair down’ philosophy on celebrity muses.

All three days of Fashion Week, the audience were welcomed by London-esque phone booth with Toni&Guy background, developed Britain’s most celebrated hair-styling brand as fashionable sovereigns and tech-savy live tweet sessions. Followed by a visually pleasing, white washed checkered HMW lounge hosted by Adnan Malik And Frieha Altaf that revealed designer and celebrity muse for each day.

Day 1 of Fashion Pakistan Week 6 revolved around the ‘Glamour’ theme, featuring Shela Chatoor’s impactful ensembles with hairstyles created by Saeeda Mandvivalla and team showcasing playful volume with the hero product like Glamour Moisturizing Shine Spray.Showstopper for Shehla Chatoor’s capsule was non-other-than the uber glamorous, Humaima Malik who stepped out in a blingy-one shoulder off floor length gown.

The second day of FPWS14, TONI&GUY HMW featured Maheen Karim’s collection, styled using the Classic HMW range.   The hairstyles for this particular capsule, showcased statement side-parts with touch of nautical waves, by using Classic Shine Serum. Celebrity muse, Ayesha Omer added oomph to the runway by walking in a laced black gown designed by Maheen Karim.

Final day of FPWS14 TONI&GUY HMW featured Sadaf Malaterre’s collection, for the Casual HMW range. Sadaf Malaterre epitomized vibrant hued diaphanous gowns with a young and sexy edge to it. Anoushay Asharaf walked the ramp for Sadaf Malaterre.

Toni&Guy with Saeeda and team cannot be thanked enough for their untiring efforts to bring such a brilliant Trend Show and piece of NewYork-London back to Pakistan!

#FPWS2014 : Designer List. [Updated]

Official logo, Fashion Pakistan Week Spring/Summer 2014.

Fashion Pakistan Council has announced the official list of fashion designers, labels and brands participating in Fashion Pakistan Week Spring/Summer 2014, scheduled for 19th to 21st February 2014 in Karachi.

This time around, the sixth edition of Fashion Pakistan Week will witness a well-blend of Karachi and Lahore designers. There will be 24 mainstream and upcoming designers including retailers who will be featured in eight fashion-packed shows daily over the course of the three-day event. FPW Spring/Summer 2014 will also celebrate the achievements of participating fashion talent through three illustrious awards.

Member designers of the Council will judge Pakistani fashion talent and award them during the show as per the following categories: 1) The Emerging Talent Award (to recognise the efforts of up-and-coming fashion talent 2) The Diamond Designer award (to celebrate the life-time contributions of a designer to Pakistan’s fashion industry for over a period of 18-20 years and 3) The Best Collection Award which will be based on voting done via the Council’s Facebook page.
